Sophia Pattison

Raised in Oakland California, I was brought up in a diverse and enthralling community that led to my desire to tell other people's stories, travel, and explore. I graduated magna cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2024, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. I've embarked on a path that combines my love for storytelling with my dedication to pervasive communication.

In San Luis Obispo, I learned the ropes of broadcasting and media production. My hunger for community in storytelling and media led me to the dynamic teams at .Wav Zine, KCPR, and Mustang News. Most recently, I had the amazing opportunity to intern under Jaime Lewis at Consumed, a podcast that features "eaters, drinkers, thinkers, and makers" on the Central Coast.

I diligently tailored my academic curriculum to align with my vision of a communicative multimedia career. I'm determined to become a versatile and impactful multimedia journalist, aspiring to tell compelling stories across various platforms.
